Spring Greetings!  It has been a unique winter with flooding and snow, but hopefully Spring is here!

We will begin our Spring Break by early release on Friday, April 19.

School will release at 11:30.  Spring Break will continue April 22-April 26.

April 17 – Spring Photos – Class Photos

April 19 – Early Dismissal – 11:30 am

April 22-April 26 – Spring Break

April 29 – PTO Meeting – 2:45 – Parent Input Opportunity – Make Plans to Attend

May 1 – May 3 – 5th Grade Trip

May 2 – mClass window opens – K-3 EOY

May 6 – 3rd, 4th 5th Field Trip – Education Days at McCormick Fields – Asheville Tourists

Parents & Guardians,


This letter is to inform families of upcoming events and important dates.

Also, we are asking parents to continue to inform Micaville School office if you have a new phone number or change of address, etc.

Our school is very excited to host the, “Dad and Daughter” Dance this Friday, Feb. 22.

If your daughter would like to invite a special escort – this is certainly acceptable.  

Please plan to attend this exciting night.

Flower wristlets will be on sale for $2.00.  You may purchase these for your daughter in the hallway before you begin the evening.

A “Mother & Son” event will be held later in the Spring.

Monday, Feb. 25 – Parents/Guardians are invited to a meeting at school.  The “Partnership for Children” representative will be in our Media Center at 2:45 to speak about exciting academic opportunities your student may wish to join.

Please plan to attend this Parent Meeting to meet with teachers and learn resources available to our students.

Fall Fling

Everyone is invited to join Micaville PTO as we celebrate Fall.

There will be a Fall Fling, Friday, October 12, Chick-Fil-A Meal beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The Chick-Fil-A Meal will be $5.00 to include the sandwich, soft drink, and chips.
These meals will be sold on a first come-first serve basis - make your plans to attend.

Additionally, the Fall Fling will have $5.00 wristbands.  These wristbands will be used to participate in many games and activities to include:  Ring Toss, Fish Bowl Ping Pong, Pick a Duck Clothespin, Drop Stick Horse Race, Bean Bag Toss, Plinko, Dart Balloons, Corn Hole, Fortune Telling, Cow Train and Hay Ride.

There will be a variety of Vendors on the field helping our school.  These vendors are selling affordable items everyone will enjoy.

The Book Fair will be taking place in the Media Center.  The Cake Walk will take place in the courtyard, beside of the gym.  The Dance will be held in the gym, beginning at 7:15 - 8:00.

Additional activities are:  Cake Walk - $1.00 per walk
                                       Concessions - $1.00
                                       Dunking Booth - $1.00

Make plans to attend and bring friends and family.  This event will assist the PTO and Micaville School work on constructing an outdoor classroom for the community to enjoy.
